Taste of the Wild Pet Food Website Wins Award

February 9th, 2008

Diamond Pet Foods’ Taste of the Wild Pet Food website has won a Silver Mid-Missouri ADDY Medal in the “Interactive media: Web sites, consumer: Flash” category.

We’d like to think the dealer locator that Delta built helped a little bit with the judges’ decision, but all the credit should (and did) go to Woodruff Sweitzer. Kudos to you WS!
A list of all the winners was published today in the Columbia Business Times.

Delta Systems did not win any awards this year. C’est la vie.  How can you beat the Tour of Missouri site!? That thing is sweet.  We now know better for next year and will continue to strive for technical as well as graphical excellence in all projects.

Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Dealer Locator goes live on chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com

February 8th, 2008

Diamond Pet Foods needed to improve and update the capabilities of their online pet food dealer location services. Delta Systems implemented a city lookup as well as a zip code lookup system that will allow website visitors to find stores in which Diamond Pet Foods products are sold. Simply enter a zip code and how far you are willing to travel.

Dealer Locator Example Google Map
The system will place a series of pushpins on the map. Clicking the pushpin will open a bubble with contact information for that dealer. The maps are fully integrated with Google Maps and all the zooming, panning, dragging, and other features are available – making it easy to get directions to or from each dealer location.

Previously the dealer locator only allowed a visitor to click on a State to see a list of all dealers in that state. In some larger states, this meant hundreds of locations were returned. There was no additional filtering allowed.

In the past, Delta Systems built a system to handle customer calls, online data collection, and case management needs pertaining to a product recall.

Delta Systems partners with Woodruff Sweitzer and Jeremy Fields to meet the online needs of Diamond Pet Foods.

MethTrack.com Improved and Expanded

February 6th, 2008

MethTrack.com today improved reporting features to further combat and identify smurfing.  Smurfing is the act of going to multiple stores and legally purchasing drugs and other medications containing meth precursor ingredients. Frequently multiple people will get involved so as to maximize the amount of drugs they can procure at any given pharmacy or store.

Several bills have been introduced in State and Federal Bills to combat this activity (such as the Methamphetamine Production Prevention Act of 2007 introduced by Chuck Grassley).

Electronic logbook systems are being demanded by lawmakers.

MethTrack.com can meet those demands.

A recent article in the Columbia Daily Tribune explains that criminals have figured out a new way of acquiring the drugs they need to produce meth. This is one of the exact activities that MethTrack.com was designed to detect.  This activity has come to be known as “smurfing
